The oceanographic instruments and systems marketed by Lighthouse provide effective solutions to all major aspects of marine research. Lighthouse strives to locate and provide its customers with extremely reliable instrumentation which is not only competitively priced but also guaranteed technically, as well as in terms of installation, implementation and customer support.

About Datawell BV

Datawell was established in 1961 as a research laboratory for the development of general instrumentation. Specializing in the marine environment, Datawell developed the basic principles of the gravity stabilized long period motion sensors. Their best known products are wave buoys and ship motion sensors.
The latest release is the DWR4 with Acoustic Current Meter which can also measure the sea surface current. Apart from wave height and wave direction, Datawell’s buoys also monitor sea surface temperature. Sensors for other meteorological parameters, such as air temperature, are under development.

About Radac

Since 1998, Radac develops, produces and markets The WaveGuide. This is a very accurate radar level gauge to measure waves, tides, storm surge, tsunami, seiches and sea level rise. It is demonstrated that in all wind and wave conditions the standard deviation for water level is only 1 cm. The radar level gauge is compact, robust and easy to install. After a profound evaluation of several years the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat) has adopted the WaveGuide System as water level and wave height sensor in their primary measuring network. For wave heights the SWAP program is available. It is the standard wave height and wave direction processing of the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management and meets the standard of oil companies (E&P forum.
