GAS is always involved in a quality improvement process for every aspect of its activities and aims to improve the quality standards of the services and products it provides. For this reason, together with the already existing International Standard ISO 9001:2008, GAS in the last few months has worked hard to obtain two important certifications, the OHSAS 18001:2007 and the ISO 14001:2004 certifications.

OHSAS 18001:2007 is the internationally applied International standard for occupational health and safety management systems. It exists to help all kinds of organizations put in place demonstrably sound occupational health and safety performance. It can be considered the widest recognized and popular occupational health and safety management system all over the world. This certification is really important for our Company, it helps to create the best possible working conditions across your organization; to identify hazards and put in place controls to manage them; to reduce workplace accidents and illness to cut related costs and downtime and to engage and motivate staff with better, safer working conditions; Demonstrate compliance to customers and suppliers

ISO 14001:2004 is a family of standards related to environmental management that exists to help organizations to minimize how their operations (processes, etc.) negatively affect the environment, but also to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements. The benefits of using ISO 14001:2004 can include a reduced cost of waste management; savings in consumption of energy and materials; a lower distribution costs; an improved corporate image among regulators, customers and the public.
