Frame Agreement Extension for Shah Deniz

Lighthouse Azerbaijan Branch proudly announces the sign of a 4-years extension of the existing Frame Agreement with Saipem Netherland – Azerbaijan Branch. The two Companies have signed a new revision of the existing frame agreement, which concerns Survey and Positioning Support Activities, extending its term until 2022.

The survey activities Lighthouse is going to provide will fall under the project Shah Deniz – Stage 2, where Saipem and its consortium partners Bos-Shelf and Star Gulf have been recently awarded with the call-off 007 Master Agreement by BP, on behalf of the Shah Deniz partnership.

Azerbaijan Branch obtains ISO 9001/2008 Certification

On 5th of August 2016, Lighthouse Azerbaijan Branch has obtained its ISO 9001/2008 certification as integration of the existing one for the Italian headquarter. The achievement is the International Quality recognition of 4 years of non-stop activities in the Caucasian Republic as Offshore Survey Provider. During this period, the Branch has developed with great commitment a local Quality Management System, as well an extensive expertise in providing survey, positioning services and equipment. Chirag Oil Project 2016

Inside the Frame Agreement awarded by SAIPEM for the provision of Survey Services in Azerbaijan till the end of 2017, GAS Azerbaijani Branch has been appointed to perform survey and positioning support activities for the Chirag Oil Project (COP) 2016. The Scope of work concerns the laying of 8.33 km of the 18â€ Water Injection Pipeline and installation of tie-in spools in the Azeri Chirag and Gunashli (ACG) fields, located in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, approximately 120km South East of Baku.
GAS will carry out Pipelay Support, Prelay Survey, As-Laid Survey, As-Built Survey and Spools Metrology. The project is going to commence in March 2016 and will take approximately 4 months.

Pipe string push/pulling monitoring

Saipem, through its subsidiary ERSAI Caspian Contractor LLC, has awarded GAS KCO (Kazakh subsidiary of GAS Italy) a contract for the survey and positioning services during the construction of two pipelines of 95 km each. The pipelines will connect D Island in the Caspian Sea to the Karabatan onshore plant in Kazakhstan.
Scope of work includes the provision of personnel and equipment on board the Survey Vessel to carry out pre-lay, as laid and as built survey. More over, it includes the provision of precise positioning on board 4 Construction and Post Trenching Vessels and 14 TUGs.
One of the most challenging services requested by ERSAI is the provision of precise positioning during the pipe string push/pulling operations. This service is essential to monitor the pipe movements and preserve its integrity during the installation. 20 tracking points have been installed by GAS technicians on the buoyancy tanks aligned over 10 km of pipes. Each control point is capable to transmit the pipe position and heading to the laying barge located at 10 km of distance. String push/pulling operation is expected to take approx. to 60 days. Each tracking point is designed to be splash proof and self-powered using batteries and solar panels. The differential signal is broadcasted by means of TDMA techniques; the pipe movements are collected from the C12 pipe lay barge during push/pulling operations.
As usual, this service has been provided by GAS according to schedule, under strict guidelines on safety and result accuracy â€“ a trademark of GAS throughout is 30 years of activity in the Oil&Gas business.

GAS awarded DSV contract for Shah Deniz 2

GAS awarded DSV contract for provision of survey services during pipelay installation for Shah Deniz 2 project

GAS, member of Lighthouse Group, has been awarded a long term contract from SAIPEM to provide offshore survey services on board the dive-support vessel AKADEMIK TOFIK ISMAYILOV during the installation of the export and infield pipelines for the Stage II development of the Shah Deniz field which will ultimately deliver gas to Europe from Azerbaijan. The field is located 90 km offshore Azerbaijan, in water depths between 75 m and 550 m. The contractâ€s scope of work includes Touch Down Monitoring during the pipelay, As-Laid, As-Built and Out-of-Straightness surveys over 360 km of pipelines.

Since 2012, GAS has built a solid presence in the area and this contractâ€s award consolidates its position as one of the main Contractor for Survey and Positioning services in the offshore sector of the Caspian Sea, a strategic area for the oil and gas industry. In Baku, GAS has a 24-hours operative office, with a pull of professional staff comprising of geologists, geophysicists, surveyors, engineers, LBL technicians and a full spread of survey equipment which includes, but are not limited to, the latest technologies of LBL underwater acoustic equipment, ROVs and AUV.
